I found Mr. Shoki on the flag of Hyakumangoku Festival!

Our company sells printed banners of Yanagi Buncho that have been handed down in the Muramatsu family. A mini version is also available.

It seems that it was put up on Children’s Day a long time ago. There are many legends related to Shoki-san, but to put it simply, it seems to have a strong meaning as a talisman against evil spirits. Chinese people seem to understand this very well.

Even in China, there seem to be various uses depending on the land.
